Counselling
Counselling and CBT, online and in person
Counselling gives you a confidential space to talk about what is troubling you, with someone who listens without judging. Together, we make sense of what is happening and look for ways of coping that fit your life.
Where it would help, I also use cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which looks at the links between your thoughts, feelings and actions.
Who counselling can help
Sometimes there is a clear problem, and sometimes it is just a feeling that things aren’t right. You might be dealing with:
- Anxiety, worry or panic
- Low mood, or feeling flat and unmotivated
- Stress at work, at home or in your studies
- Relationship difficulties or loneliness
- A big change, such as a move or a loss
What we can work on together
- Understanding what lies behind how you feel
- Noticing patterns in your thoughts and reactions
- Practical ways to manage anxiety and stress
- Building confidence and being kinder to yourself
We go at your pace and focus on what matters to you. If you choose CBT, it usually includes some practice between sessions.
